The Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf

Steglitz is a green, solid middle-class district of Berlin, the busy centre of which is Schlossstrasse with its manifold shopping possibilities, cinemas, restaurants, Schlossparktheater (castle garden theatre) and Wrangelschlösschen. The Botanic Garden is also within a few minutes walking. And don't forget to visit the Planetarium! The adjacent district of Zehlendorf is a classic area of mansions, good restaurants, garden cafés as well as the Grunewald forest and the Wannsee lake. Numerous museums and the Free University of Berlin are giving distinction to this beautiful urban quarter.

Botanic Garden

The Botanic Garden is located just 300 m off the Ravenna Hotel. With its overall 22,000 plant species on an area of 43 hectares this is one of the largest and most manifold of the world. The completely redecorated tropical area is the landmark of the Botanic Garden.

Schlossparktheater (Castle Garden Theatre)

The theatre, founded in 1804, is being conducted by Dieter Hallervorden since 2009. It offers plays, reading and cabaret events. For further information please have a look at www.schlossparktheater.de

You will reach the Potsdamer Platz by subway within 15 minutes. From there you can walk to the Brandenburger Tor, Unter den Linden and Friedrichstraße. In the direct vicinity of the Brandenburger Tor you will find the Reichstag (German parliament).

Even Potsdam with its numerous sights to see is just a few stops further on.
